Meet Our New CEO: Bonnie Ross

Unity Care NW's Board of Directors has named Bonnie Ross as our Chief Executive Officer, effective October 5, 2026.

Many in our community already know Bonnie. She joined Unity Care NW in February 2021 as Chief Financial & Compliance Officer and has served as interim CEO since June. Over the past five years, she has helped strengthen our financial position while continuing to invest in patient care, staff, and services.
She led quality improvement work that moved Unity Care NW into the top tier of its regional care network, and she played a key leadership role in our move to the Epic electronic health record system.
Bonnie brings 20 years of leadership experience in finance, compliance, and operations, most of it with community health centers. Before coming to Unity Care NW, she served as CEO of Klamath Health Partnership, a rural community health center with three clinics in south-central Oregon. She also served as CFO of community health centers in Portland and California's Central Valley. She holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science and Health from the University of Utah.
"I believe in Unity Care NW and the work we do every day," Bonnie said.
"Our mission is more than providing health care. It's making sure every person in our community has access to compassionate, high-quality care, whatever their circumstances. I'm honored to keep doing that work alongside our staff, our patients, and our neighbors across Whatcom County."
"We are thrilled to welcome Bonnie into the role she has so expertly stewarded in the months since Jodi retired," said Chris Phillips, Board President. "She brings the vision, experience, and values needed to lead this organization into its next chapter."
Thank you, Jodi
Bonnie succeeds Jodi Joyce, who retired in June after six years leading Unity Care NW. Under Jodi's leadership, we expanded care to nearly 25,000 patients a year, opened The Way Station Health & Hygiene Center, and built a strong financial foundation for the future. We're grateful for her dedication and the lasting impact she made on this community.
